Here's a little taste of what you'll find there.
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Thursday Morning. After a long record of sane, if heavy, traffic patterns, Thursday Morning finally succumbed to madness this Oct. 4th as it snarled traffic into a chaotic unrecognizable mess. Sadly, this once dignified Time Of Day, was soon dragged to the side of the road and brutally murdered in revenge, quickly putting poor Thursday Morning out of its misery. Thursday Morning is survived by its children, Thursday Lunch, Thursday Afternoon, and Thursday Evening. Mourners hope these children will be able to avoid their parent's fate, though poor Thursday Afternoon is already showing signs.
I hate being sick. About the only good thing about being sick is that I'm taking the day off. But it still sucks.
You know what I find ironic, though? It's been a very long time since I've been able to watch daytime TV and yet at least 2 of the shows I found today were episodes I'd already seen! lol Go figure.
Caught this while I was Stumbling about the internet. You've got to see this to believe it! And listen for at least a minute or two as it takes just a bit to really get going. You'll love it!

I made this wonder last night for dinner. Oh boy was it ever good!! I wanted to make it ever since I saw it on The Pioneer Woman Cooks blog, especially since my father in law can't eat corn on the cob. He was ecstatic about it last night! First fresh corn he's had in a long time. :D I think it meant a lot to him. :)
Anyway, you must try this recipe and you must start reading this blog. She's so clever!

I'd like to buy a new computer. Correction. I'd like to build a new computer. I've already got someone lined up who's said he'd be happy to build my computer. I just have to do all the research and buy everything first. I even know where to get a smokin' deal on software and peripherals thanks to my step-sister Mandy who works at Microsoft. (Can you beat $75 for Vista Home? I didn't think so.)
Don't get me wrong. My computer still works and fairly well for its size and age. But you can only put so much on a 6 year old 40GB hard drive. Failure is inevitable. Plus I can't play the sims anymore. :( The only thing that's held me back so far is that I can't afford it. I might end up buying a few pieces here and there for a while, but I'd prefer to get my debt paid off enough first that I could just get it all at once or in larger chunks. The longer I wait, the better off I'll be. I keep telling myself that patience is a virtue. It's really damn hard, though. lol
There comes a time in every work day that I'm no longer interested in working. I'm lethargic and sleepy and all I want to do is take a nap. I call this time the Post Lunch Slump. The reason should be obvious. I'm full and happy and a nap sounds like the ideal way to start off the afternoon. Someone wake me when the work day's over.
So what does it take to get a person immediately interested in blogging again?
Could it be ... a flying squirrel? Oh please. There are too many squirrels around here for that to be blog worthy.
Could it be ... my new AFLAC duck? Well, he is a cutey and you have to love the way he screams at you, but no.
Could it be ... my impending cruise to Alaska? Maybe when I get back with a camera full of new pictures, but not yet.
Then what is it????
It is quite simply *drum roll please* ... THE COOLEST PICTURE I'VE EVER TAKEN!! I want to EAT this CAR!!!
I was so glad to leave work today. It was a long and crazy day full of frustrations. Frustrated customers, frustrated me, and frustrated coworkers. Just not the most pleasant of days. And I'm not looking forward to Monday, that's for sure. I'm not eager to go back to all of those frustrations. Hopefully I'll get enough sleep this weekend to recover from this week. Not betting on it, though. Tomorrow morning Joe and I are leaving for Cashmere, WA where it will be approx. 94 degrees for his cousins' graduation party. His cousins, Jamie and Melissa, are twins born with ADHD. It's a wonder their parents survived let alone had another kid, Dillan. Anyway, they've finally graduated and most, if not all, of the family is going out to celebrate. The actual graduation is tonight, but since I had to work we couldn't make it. That's okay. We're still going for the party. :) The only thing I'm really worried about is where we're going to be spending the night. I don't know where the family is going to be Saturday night. I guess several of them will be going home tomorrow after the party. It's too far for us to go out and come back in one day, though. Joe suggested camping in their backyard... Uh huh... right. No thank you. Honestly, I wouldn't have minded so much if it wasn't for my knee. It's feeling a lot better, but the last thing I should be doing is sleeping on the ground right now. Anyway, I just put a load of laundry in. Probably should have started that sooner. Oh well. I'm just hoping to get this load done before we leave. The clothes I want to wear are in there! lol

I like the post box! That was cool. Who was the kid in the tux? read more
