Hooray! I had my starter party on Friday and I earned just a little more than the amount I needed to earn my starter kit for free! :D Hooray! I've also got 4 parties booked, two this month and two next month. Plenty of room for more!
On the downside, it's beginning to look less and less like my company will be hiring anyone for my department for a while. They're outsourcing AGAIN! Some people are beginning to think that they may dissolve our dept. entirely at some point... I really hope not. The first company we outsourced with does crappy work. So expectations for the new company are very low. *sigh* I feel like I've been strung along for almost 2 years now. I'm tired of being a temp. I want a permanent job. Party Lite alone won't cover me if I get dropped come May.
So for those of you who haven't heard yet, I've decided to start my own business with Party Lite. This means that I'm going to be doing in-home sales with candles and candle-related products. I'm very excited!! :D It's been almost 4 years since I've done any kind of sales, but I'm pumped and ready to go! I know I can do this. It's going to be tough at first to get a client base built up, but so far most of the people I've talked to love Party Lite and are very supportive. Here's why I've decided to do this: the money. I'll be making 25% commission from every party. Plus, I don't have to invest any money into this to start. I'll be earning my starter kit through my starter party on Feb. 2nd. As long as there are over $350 in sales, my kit is free. Plus, anything above that Party Lite matches dollar for dollar in product to expand my starter kit. Also, it's a product that I believe in. I mean, who doesn't love candles??? Especially free ones!! I've become something of a walking advertisement for it since I decided to join. I guess I'm just too excited! lol :) But all my family and friends are all saying that I'll be really good at this. I hope they're right. :) I just know that this is the right time to be doing this and the right product to get behind.
