Are you taking a vacation this summer (or this season)? Where are you headed and who's going with you?
Most definitely!! I'm actually taking two trips.
In late July I'm going to PartyLite National Conference in Houston!! Yay!!!!! I can't wait!! It's going to be so much fun!!! It's going to be really hot, too, though... Hence the new summer wardrobe. :D See, I can justify my shopoholism. :D
In August I'm going with my family (dad's side and my hunny) on a cruise to Alaska on Celebrity's Infinity ship. (Yes, those are two different links for your clicking pleasure) I've been waiting for this since Christmas! Just 3 more months!!
*drool* I can't wait!!! My summer is going to ROCK!!
What's some good advice you've given to a friend, but not followed yourself?

Lose weight and exercise. I wonder how many other people will be saying the same thing.
If you could eat anything you wanted, and not have to worry about gaining weight/being unhealthy/inhumane, what would you totally pig out on?

Pretty much food in general. :) I'd eat more fried chicken, chocolate, pancakes, desserts, mexican, italian, and asian food. :D
Do you believe there is intelligent life on other planets?
Most definitely. I think it is pure hubris to suppose that Earth is the only planet in the entirety of the universe that supports life. I also think it is possible that the intelligent life that is out there is more advanced than us. After all, if it hadn't been for the dark ages, we might have been exploring space a hundred years or more ago. Also, if it hadn't been for the extinction of the dinosaurs, early man may never have existed long enough to evolve into homo sapiens. What if truly early life on other planets didn't get wiped out and did manage to evolve into more highly developed and intelligent beings? So many things are possible. The only things we can do are listen, wait, and explore our own little section of the galaxy, branching out a piece at a time.
If you could have one superpower, what would you choose?

Teleporation. That way I could see the world without having to pay airfare! And I could get in to all the theme parks without paying. :D
If you were stranded on a desert island, what five people would you eat first?
Submitted by James Poling.
Oh this one's far too disturbing (and yet funny) to pass up. :D
1. Richard Hatch. You knew someone was going to say it! Let's just get rid of him first so we don't have to look at him.
2. Gilligan. 'Nuf said.
3. Paula Dean. I bet she tastes like butter!
4. Emeril. Sorry, it's a pork fat thing. ;)
5. Martha Stewart. I'd save her for last because she can probably make anything taste good and we'd need her to cook up the rest of the poor people we're eating. I almost put her first because I find her annoying.
But seriously folks, if I got to pick who I was on an desert island with it would be my husband and McGyver. My husband should be obvious. We can go off and have fun while McGyver builds a boat using nothing but coconuts and palm fronds. We wouldn't be on the island long enough to have to eat anyone.
What is your pet peeve, the one thing which really drives you mad?

I hate being ignored. If I've got something to say then I damn well want to be heard.
What song best describes your current mood?
Submitted by Section31.
The second this song started playing, I knew this was exactly the right song for me at this moment. Jesse Cook's "Virtue" is such a beautiful song. Softly exotic and seductive. It's on the Pure Moods 3 disc for anyone who wants to find it. I'll try to post the MP3 later.
Ever since I was a little girl, it has been a cold weather tradition for my mom to make wassail. Well, she spells it wassel, but whatever, same thing. :) I've heard of some recipes having alcohol in them, but not this one. Just juice and spice and it was so nice. We'd keep it outside on the porch since it was cold enough that we didn't have to keep it in the fridge. :) She gave me the recipe recently and I can't wait to make it myself! But tsk tsk, you're not getting the recipe. ;) It's a family secret. :P
What's the last thing you usually do or think about before you fall asleep?
I'm usually thinking about trying to find the best and most comfortable spot on the bed so that the cats will go sleep on my husband's legs rather than mine. :)
Aren't they adorable? Guess is a total love and very curious. Cloud, her brother, is much more skittish, but he's the one who loves to sleep with us. Guess tends to just keep watch. This morning I found Cloud curled up with Joe having pushed Joe's legs to the very furthest edge of the bed. lol I moved him so Joe could straighten out. Still, it was awfully cute. Especially since it wasnt me. ;)
